EdNavigator. I developed a tool to help Navigators guide parents to choose high quality early learning programs.
“The line of communication that Emmy maintained throughout our project was exceptional. She was always careful to be clear on what our expectations were of her so that we were receiving a product that was high-quality and precisely what we needed. To better inform our awareness around the issue we hired her for, she came with a wealth of knowledge and resources that better equipped us to refine our needs.
Emmy saw the project holistically and prefaced any information that would have led us to change the direction of our thinking. She’s skillful, and we loved the work she presented. It has been extremely useful to us in just the first month of creation.”
Community Playdates. I developed the curriculum for Community Playdates as part of my Kellogg Foundation Fellowship culminating project.
Abeona House Child Discovery Center. I facilitated the development of the View of the Child.
For early childhood teachers and caregivers, I believe it is very important to reflect on your own personal view of the child and be able to come together as a teaching team and share your hopes, wants and dreams for the young individuals that we are given the opportunity to serve. Emmy’s workshop of the “View of the Child” serves as an important reminder to adults that is it our duty to advocate for children, to support them in their personal growth and learning journey, and to hold each person accountable to the mission that we created as one and to live it out each day.
